-
Cut Contact Immediately: Don't respond to any further messages from Mellon McFlurry or the email penairwise.og@usa.com. Block them on your phone and email if necessary.

Fighting Back (Use Caution)
This situation might be frustrating, but there's a small chance you can gather some evidence:

- Be Wary of Unexpected Payments: If someone you don't know well offers to send you money, especially through an unfamiliar app, it's likely a scam.
- Never Share Financial Information: Don't give out your bank account details, credit card numbers, or social security number to anyone you don't trust completely.
- Verify Payment Methods: If someone insists on using a specific app or payment method, do your research before proceeding. Check the app's website or contact the official company directly to confirm its legitimacy.
- Trust Your Gut: If something feels off about the situation, it probably is. Don't be pressured into anything that makes you uncomfortable.
While CredCheck (https://scamcheckup.com/credcheck/) can't directly analyze the legitimacy of payment apps, it can be a valuable tool in the future for analyzing emails from potential senders. It can identify red flags in the writing style, like generic greetings, urgency tactics, and inconsistencies in information often used in fake payment scams.
Remember, fake payment scams are unfortunately common. By following these tips and being cautious about unexpected financial transactions, you can protect yourself in the future.
