It sounds like Sabrina Bentrup might be trying to pull a fast one with a rental scam on Immonet.de. Here's what you can do to protect yourself:
-
Don't Send Money Upfront: Never send money to someone for a rental property before you've seen it in person and signed a legitimate lease agreement. If someone insists on advanced payment, it's a scam.
-
Beware of Out-of-Country Landlords: Landlords who claim to be abroad and unable to meet in person are a major red flag. It's much harder to verify the legitimacy of a rental property if the landlord isn't physically available.
-
Verify the Listing: Search for the same listing on other platforms or contact Immonet.de directly to see if they can verify the listing's authenticity.
-
Report the Scam: Report Sabrina Bentrup and the fake listing to Immonet.de. You can also report the scam to the German police.
-
Consider Using a Reputable Realtor: If you're looking to rent an apartment in Germany, consider using a reputable realtor who can help you find legitimate listings and avoid scams.
